
Apparently the Microsoft Surface Table was a precursor of things to come, because Microsoft is now pushing its iPhone-esque UI for the next iteration of Windows. That’s right, after several decades, the WIMP user interface is now obsolete (WIMP stands for Windows, Icons, Menus and Pointing devices). You’ll now be able to draw a picture in Microsoft Paint using your fingers, and the system will accept multiple finger inputs for image resizing, navigation, etc. When Windows 7 finally releases, expect it to be available on all sizes and shapes of computers.
