Puma has since acknowledged Tommie’s strife by dropped the “Tommie Smith x Puma Suede” kicks and the “Tommie Smith x Puma Clyde” kicks. StreetThing also mentions that the shoes revolve around sprinter Tommie Smith’s achievements including a 200 m time of 19.83 seconds and both styles reference the location, the 1968 Olympics.
