And I mean snazzy in that buppie, I only drive this car on sundays to church, and to nappa vallley for wine tasting type of flashiness. It’s definitely a vehicle for that more opulent consumer, and not for the arrogant driver with their trunk rattling like a gorrila trying to escape outa your rear hatch type of character. Y’all know the breed, the one that will put gaudy rims on any car be it a 77 datsun or a 85 civic, but please believe if I ever slide my gluteous maximus into the front seat of this car, Ima drive slow homie. Now keep in mind this is just a rendering based on spy photos of the vehicle in testing created by the talented Jon Sibal. This illustration is not official but its pretty damn close, and for all you SLR fans this will be the last reincarnation of the SLR kind. The headlights are the only trait shared with its predeccesors, the exhuast has been deviously transfered to the side vents, there is “absolutely no roof” and mere wind deflectors for a windshield. Outrageous right? Catch the actually Spy Shots in the gallery after the jump.

Usually when it comes to Mercedes I’m a bit skeptical. And usually for the fact that when it comes to this automotive company their exclusivity isn’t rampant. Their makes and models for the most part are available to anyone with a large lump sum crammed into their pockets. This however is just the car to sway that notion.

This is the 2008 Mercedes-Benz SLR 722 GTR. Yes folks thats right GTR meaning that you may quite possibly find yourself watching this very vehicle riding low on your favorite Le Mans course. At the moment there are only 21 of these asphalt chomping beasts available starting at around 750,000 Euros.

Curious as to the difference between this and your everyday Mercedes-Benz SLR? Wider body, 19 inch OZ racing wheels, roll cage, freer flowing air extractors and the car has removed about 300kg and reduced its dry weight to 2866 lbs. All in all, this is a full out Endurance racer with no rooms for luxury. But really ignore my words, check the Pics at the jump.
