You might remember that teaser trailer we got up last month, well Microsoft finally shed some light on the upcoming expansion at the Tokyo Game Show keynote. The prologue, “Halo 3: Recon”, will cast new recruits as a ODST recon marine (your previously seen drop partners, that always end up dead), giving Master Chief some much needed R&R.

So a bit earlier today Bungie teased what appears to be a story expansion to Halo 3. Details are more then scarce, but the trailer begins with falling escape pods onto a desolate metropolitan landscape. There’s a giant explosion that levels the entire city and then it cuts to: “Halo 3. Prepare to Drop.” Our guess is this expansion will come as a DLC, and could be the much rumored about “Call of Duty-ish” take Bungie mentioned about venturing in. See it for yourself after the break, and stay turned for info on availability.

We haven’t seen anything regarding Halo in a while, so this will have to due until something more official comes out regarding Halo 4. TrueSwords just released this 27 in. long, with 19.25 in. blades, 7 in. handle. mock-up of the Elites weapon of choice, and it includes a black wall plaque and titanium rainbow effect, guaranteed to remind you of that familiar electric shimmer. At $49.99 - it’s not ideal for the causal Halo fan, no not at all.

After much deliberation, stagnation, and everything in between Latino Review were first to get their hands on the concept art for the inevitable Halo flick. The picture above is apparently the children in training, and the image below is of the Spartans readying for battle. Whats your opinion? Can this video game adaptation pull it off?

I suppose this will be along the lines of what we can expect Cortana to look like out of the inevitable Halo film right? This month at I4U, they hired a model named Francesca, dumped a bunch of blue paint on her, and then threw a plasma rifle in her hand. What you see above you, is the finished product, head over to I4U to see the rest of the semi-NSFW gallery…

As much as we would love to believe that the Master Chief is completely invincible, our innumerous deaths at the hand of the covenant, flood, and robots have enforced in us otherwise. Capitalizing on this bitter truth, jin-saotome has hand-sculpted this one of a kind figurine of the Chief as he is on the verge of being overwhelmed by the parasitic collective, the Flood. Looks like that AR did him no good to him this time around, huh? Check out the ebay auction after the jump!

This video is a beautiful synopsis on the entire Halo experience presented by the Bungie Team. From your first inception as the Master Chief and the discovery of the first Halo, to the return home to end the fight. Here you have the Bungie break down the relationship between the Chief and Cortana, the Civil war between the Elites and the Brutes, and everything else. Also discussed is the game play significance of flood and the monumental bar it placed on FPS forevermore. This film really highlights every single attribute that has been impeccably planned, executed and overlooked by the average user, namely you. Check the film at the jump. I guarantee you’ll encounter something you never imagined.

Whats next a Mongoose by Ducati? Thats not a bad idea though, but this interesting concept is one out of three that will be eventually unveiled at next year’s Detroit Motor Show. The Renegade will be a four wheel drive sport hybrid, powered by a lithium-ion battery electric motor and a Bluetec diesel engine, so your looking at 110 mpg, which isn’t too shabby at all…
