Yes the R8 is one of the most beautiful and pristine examples of automotive excellence period, but it is not perfect. There has been a mumbling of sorts regarding a lack of serious horsepower, so Audi Sport took it upon themselves to rectify this plight. As such they will soon offer a racing sports car specifically developed for customer use in the form of the powerful 500 hp plus GT3 version of the Audi R8 which will be available in autumn of 2009. That’s right ladies and gentlemen an absolute tried and true R8 conforming to the production-based GT3 regulations that allow for the car to be fielded in national and international race series.

What exactly does this entail? Well because the GT3 regulations prohibit the use of four-wheel drive, the Audi R8 arrives with the typical GT rear-wheel drive. Power is transmitted through a recently developed six-speed sequential sports gearbox, and the suspension uses almost exclusive components from their production line. An exhustively comprehensive list of safety equipment guarantees the highest-level of passive safety, a modified front end and a large rear-wing to generate the required downforce for the race track traction. And believe me when I say monstrosity, it might be the understatement of the year. This is THE fatest production Audi to date, and with all the power that the R8 represents, it is also one of the most Eco-freindly supercars on the market. Its TDI engine with the ultra-low emission system will be the first in the world to meet the forthcoming EU 6 emission standard as well as the toughest known statutory limits that apply in the U.S. But enough of the P.C. jibber Jabber and straight to the nitty gritty of bad bwoy. Expect horsepower at the 500 benchmark, and torque at 737 lb-ft. No that is not a typo, that is legit and the acceleration number reinforces this claim. There something about the R8 that makes me yelp like a pubescent catholic girl. It reeks of behemoth performance and its lines subtly mirror the silhouette of Beyonce’s notorious curves. UNfortunately I have yet to see an appealing aero package until now. ABT as it seems heard my prayers and recently introduced this beautiful concoction at the 2007 Essen Auto Show.

This curvaceous beauty features high-performance brakes, stiffer springs, and what looks as a 2 inch lowering to the ride height. Sitting on BR two-tone painted alloy wheels come in 20-by-9.0 inches in the front and 20-by-11.0 in the rear. The body kit which is composed completely of carbon fiber includes a front skirt, rear skirt, side skirts and side blades and also feature additional two tone color schemes. The Audi S5 is a beast yet simultaneously a thing of beauty, also its undoubtedly killing ever other performance coupe within its price range, please believe it. But you might be thinking right now, S5… A5… whats the difference? Well for starters note, the painted radiator grill, the more agressive bumpers, sliver painted outside mirrors, and 4 oval tail pipes.

Revealed to the world just yesterday the Audi A4 is scheduled to make its world debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, looks quite similar to the A5 no? As you can see, it also rocks those bad ass LED lined headlights every other auto manufacturer will be soon to imitate.

While those of you frequenting the vehicle ciphers on the www universe are familiar with this bad boy, I do feel that it is time that it receives our acknowledgement and praise. Why? Because this car is revolutionizing the super car industry. But the revolutionizing factors of the car extend beyond the mesmerizing design, or the headlights comprising completely of LEDs. The car performs so well, rumor has it that Lamborghini has decided to re-engineer their Gallardo because it could not compete with this car while costing only half the price tag.

It has two engine bases at the moment, a 5.0 liter V10 engine and a twin turbo 5.0 liter V10 engine. Yes this is the Fastest Audi production car ever.

Yea lets that one marinate in your dome piece (n/h) for a minute. The 5.0 liter 90 degree V10 reminiscent to the power plant of the Audi S8, however it has been mated to the twin turbo system. The turbocharged air up to a maximum 2.0 bar of boost feeds through a dual intercooler mounted above the engine before entering the intakes. But peep this, 2 intake valves and 2 exhaust valves per cylinder translates into a 40 valve engined monster.

We all have that one car we desire the most, and this folks is mine. You might remember the S5 is a M3 killer post a while back, well this bad boy is quite simply a S5 tweaked physically and functionally strictly for performance.

These pictures where just relased by Audi tuning company “ABT” of its tuning kit for the new A5 coupe, combining bodykit, power upgrades, improved handling, and new wheels. You might of noticed this minor difference but, the AS5 gains gill-shaped air inlets above the front wheels to help cool the brakes, its not always just appearance folks, but also functionality.

The A5’s 3.0L TDI engine is expected to be the highest selling version, so ABT has begun making specific power outputs for that model. Using basic ECU tuning, hosre power jumps from 240hp to 272hp, but thats if you get an ABT turbocharger. Some other modifications include the suspension which has been tuned to give the car a sportier ride and stance, and lastly its 380mm brake discs have been applied so you can stop on a dime. The last option in the package are 18-20 inch wheels and tires, the company also claims it will modify the other A5 powerplants in the future.
