For most of you fellow compatriots suffering from the childish, teenie-booper themed songs, Andre 3000 and John Legend have arrived to save you from your drudgery with their latest music video ‘Green Light’, off of John Legend’s, album Evolver, which it out now. John Legend states
“The song is simple. It’s just me trying to pick up a girl at a club and convince her to come have some fun with me. [The video] definitely has that story line in it, but we just take it kind of different places to do some unexpected visual things. We have this surreal kind of dance sequence, and it features synchronized swimmers and showgirls. We just throw a little extra twist on it. We wanted to mix a current, modern feel with an old-school, classic Hollywood feel because the song has kind of a big-band quality to it as well as a more modern dance-song quality. We wanted to mix the two different parts.”
It’s guaranteed to sway the more mature fellas and ladies, with an upbeat mellowed out melody that would match anyone’s two-step. Get the green light after the jump.

Special Delivery. Are you ready? It is a GO for John Legend’s single “Green Light” featuring Andre 3000. This song only makes him an even more of a gentlemen in my book. Only a true gent would wait for the right signal to approach a lady. In the club hit, the R&B pianist/singer adds the soul, and 3 stacks speads the cool. The uptempo track gives audiences a only a taste of what is to come. Due out October 28th, “Evolver” will be Legend’s 3rd LP, a follow up to his 2006 “Once Again”. I’m excited to hear what Mr. Legend has come forth this year. With collaborations not only from Mr. 3 stacks, (my personal favorite) but Pharrell, Estelle, Kelly Rowland, Kanye West, and Will.i.am, this an upbeat flavored album is sure not to disappoint. Yet when has he not delivered?

We’ll we haven’t heard a joint off of Farnsworth Bentley’s debut album “C.O.L.O.U.R.S.”, since we heard the titled track ‘C.O.L.O.U.R.S. ft. Pimp C & Lil Wayne‘ more then a year ago. Stay tuned for a release date, and you can catch ‘Everybody’ featuring 3 Stacks, Yeezy, and Sa-Ra doing their thing like its the 60s again, after the break.

Presenting a couple snippets of the ballet collaboration “Big” between Outkast’s Big Boi and director John Mcfall which is out now. The 1st clip is of Miss Janelle doing her thing, the 2nd clip features mostly Big Boi and Janelle Monae towards the end and the last is composed of interviews with contributing members from the production. From what I’ve been able to derive the show consists of two 50 minute acts and plays on the juxtapose of ballet and hip-hop. Featuring the performance of the bangers ,Bombs Over Baghdad, Morris Brown, Kryptonite, and Player’s Ball among others, all choreographed by Lauri Stallings. Featuring a cast of over 80 including Sleepy Brown, Janelle Monáe, Joi Gilliam, Scar, Big Rube, Rock D, and members of the musical group Konkrete. This is a must see for any Hip-Hop aficionado. Hopefully the debut this saturday and sunday inspired enough fervor to spark an US tour, LA could definitely use distinction on this level. Vids after the break.

One half of Outkast ‘Sir Lucious Left Foot’ (aka Big Boi) preps his solo album also titled “Sir Lucious Left Foot” for an imminent release in 08′. ‘Royal Flush’ would be our first overdue glimpse at an official Outkast project since The “Idlewild” soundtrack dropped in 06′ and although it isn’t officially a single, I can only assume that it will be. Immediate impressions? Well I haven’t heard BB spit this fiery over a track since the long forgotten days of “Aquemini”, and if you acknowledge the fact that they went ahead and snatched up The Chef one mo’ gin makes it obvious what their trying to achieve… That epic sound that we have been scarcely blessed with as of late, stay tuned for more info on Big Boi’s upcoming joint and for the close minded individuals who insisted in proclaiming that these brothas have lost it, well your opinion is now null and void.
