CY-FI dives head first into the world of bluetooth speakers and emerges with this gem, the world’s first wireless sport speaker. It is available in two variations, one that supports the ubiquitous iPod and the latter is Bluetooth-A2DP enabled for pairing with cell phones, PDAs and MP3 players. The speaker comes in at about the size of a deck of cards, and produces “CD-quality wireless audio via Kleer technology”. It has an average battery life of 6 hours, has a range of 30 feet, and weighs less than four ounces, but the details don’t stop there. This is probably the most intriguing offering, apparently one can sync with up to four of these devices from one singular input and create a symphony of sorts. The bluetooth model will support hands-free calling via a traditional speakerphone and will be available starting Sept 22, at its website here. Expect to pony up 199.95 for the Ipod model, and 179.95 for the Bluetooth variation. Gallery after the jump y’all.

Altough this Bluetooth Headset might be lacking in form, it definitely compensates for it in function. Sony’s DR-BT160AS features a few unsightly pods on both sides to house the batteries and a bluetooth receiver, a built-in mic for conversatin’ on the fly, and some playback buttons for remotely controlling your joints and jams. The soft elastomer hangers slide the earpiece shaft so that you’ll always have a perfect fit, and the whole thing is waterproof, so you perspire profusely, you might want to look into one of these joints. Check the Sony website around October to purchase.

Better late then never I suppose, but now CDMA patrons can get their hands on a Blackberry Curve when the 8330 releases in May (an exact ship date was not available). It’ll be the very first Curve to hit the CDMA carrier and like that of the to the BB Curve 8310 for AT&T, it’ll feature GPS. The smartphone will also be fully functional with Verizon’s location-based service, VZ Navigator, not to mention have EV-DO support. Other pluses include Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, a 2-megapixel camera, voice dialing, and QWERTY. Look for it to hit for $269.99 with a two-year contract with rebates…

During my never-ending search for a aesthetically pleasing and fully functional a2dp bluetooth headset, I came across Jabra’s “BT3030 (Dog Tag)”. Its definitely one of the better looking set ups, so if your were looking for the best way to wirelessly stream your music without looking like your in a star trek convention, check this one out.
The BT3030 has a built-in microphone, six buttons for sending/ending calls, controlling music playback, and the music playback automatically stops and resumes for calls. The built-in lithium polymer rechargeable battery goes for roughly seven hours of music playback time or calls for about eight hours with a maximum of 230 hours standby time. The BT3030 also features Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, HSP, HFP, and AVRCP support, so if that sounds all gravy check out the product page right here…

This is quite the unfortunate news Crackberry heads, but as BBcool reports, RIM has a scheduled BlackBerry outage on March 22nd from 1:00 A.M. to 5:00 A.M EST in North America for database upgrades. The outage will affect BIS and BES users, so essentially everyone. Research In Motion better not make this a recurring trend, or they’ll have a ton of disgruntled patrons on their hands, sorta like Danger, Inc did back in the day…
