Researchers from Chonnam National University have developed a robotic plant and its as bizarre a robot as I’ve seen. The robotic plant can produce oxygen, emits aromas, and increase the humidity of its surrounding environments. The plant will respond of to a variety of stimuli as well, whether it sound, light or proximity.

If you come within 40cm of the plant, its stems will lean towards the visitor and its flowers will bloom. The plant will also bloom when its spoken two, and shake to greet you. If you don’t feel silly enough yet, play some music, the plant will dance. This thing even aims to imitate photosynthesis, as the buds open and close according to lighting conditions
