While visiting the old set of A Fresh Prince Of Bel Air (it seems…), a furious Mos Def expressed his discontent regarding the media’s latest hot topic: Steroids. I wholehearted agree with the brotha too, steroids could never have the capacity to be considered “real news” in this day and age. There are much more pertinent issues the world could and should be focused on. Watch the brotha’s brief and relevant tirade after the break.

First and foremost, i agree with you and mos for the most part although I do think the steroids issue does have some clout and I really haven’t seen it covered that much outside of ESPN. When you think about the message steroid use by major figures in society sends, it does get to be a much bigger issue.
I think what Mos is touching on is in the big picture, with everything that’s going on right now, why the fuck are we even dwelling on this? It’s just baseball, it’s not a microcosm for everything that’s wrong with society. It’s a ball being thrown at a bat and you run around some bases. Woo. I love hearing him rant. It sounds like everyone was kinda unresponsive though.
