We caught a glimpse at the Martin Jetpack approximately a year ago, and now these bad boys are just about ready to ship. Yes ladies and gents for a cool $100,000, traffic jam anticipation and anxiety will be a thing of the past. Word on the street is only 10 of these Martin Jetpacks were produced last year, and recent update disclosed that Martin is teaming up with an unnamed international aircraft company to make 500 jetpacks a year, for a more affordable price of $75,000 each…

Not entirely sold? Well do acknowledge that it runs on premium gas, which is significantly more frugal than jet fuel. It’s got a 30 mile range at 60 mph with a 8000 foot ceiling cap, and you don’t even need a pilot’s license to fly. It even includes a low altitude ballistic parachute, for the paranoid Jetpacker. And we’re not talking the most recent X-men live action flicks, we like to pretend those never happened over here. But say Hello to the “Hover Chair” currently being developed by the Japanese, as approach to senior mobility (or sedentary lifestylers). The chair navigates itself as smooth as satin on a cushion of air, and can even be upgraded with a racing seat as well as a zabuton (Japanese-style floor cushion). The prototype is currently able to carry up to 330 pounds, and has designed by Tsunesuke Furuta and colleagues at Japan’s Kobe Gakuin University. Nine students at Yale university have developed a spokeless bicycle wheel as part of their mechanical engineering project, and we can dig it. Initially designed for both wheels to be made spokeless, you may notice the attached photo shows only the rear, and this is due to cost reasons – the prototype was apparently expensive. Italian motorcycle manufacturer Vyrus’ latest beast on 2 wheels has been dubbed the 987 C3 4V, and the version above – weighing 339 pounds and touting 211 horsepower by means of a Ducati-sourced 1198cc V-twin engine, also embellished by a supercharger – means this bad boy is now officially the most powerful production motorcycle in the world. Get a better feel for the “Vyrus 987 C3 4V” after the break, and expect sightings to be slim to none being that it starts as $70,000 for the base version and can possibly top $100,000 for the Supercharged edition…

Impressive is an understatement when it comes to Audi’s lastest all-electric endeavor. Slightly resembling an R8 (even though it’s only shared component with the look-alike Audi R8 are the halfshafts) the “E-Tron” is powered by four electric motors which pump out a whopping 313hp, which then propel this bad boy to 0-60mph in just 4.8-seconds.
