Preview “Tronic” with ‘The Matrix‘ we posted previously, and download the “Elec” mixtape after the break.

Apparently someone is auctioning off a restored Ghostbuster’s Ecto-1, which was used in Universal Studios Florida for over fifteen years. Unfortunately no ghost hunting equipment will be included, nor Slimer, but here’s more info straight from the ebay auction:

“This car is one of three Sony/MGM authorized Ghostbusters 1959 Cadillac Miller Meteor Ecto-1. There are the two original cars used in the films and this one built exclusively for the Universal Studios Theme parks. This car has a rich history and thousands of fans have been photographed with this car. The only major change made to this car was the roof rack. We modified the roof rack to resemble the screen used Sony Ecto-1 original car. Other upgrades are cosmetic and mechanically it’s very sound…”

Your probably thinking LEDs, Wifi.. What the hell do those have in common? Well if group of researchers at Boston University accomplish what they intend to, Light-emitting diodes won’t just be used for just lights in the future. If all goes according to plans, LEDs be able to be used as WiFi “access points”.

The group is being funded by the US National Science Foundation with a $18.5 million grant, so you can believe folks are rather enthusiastic about this new technology. And with 10 megabyte per second connections due to the speed of light, and the energy efficiency of the itty bitty light blubs, can you blame them?

Microsoft has taken an entirely new direction in advertisements, to hedge against all of that negative pub spewing out of essentially every Apple commercial. The big MS has decided to omit software specifics and superiority, and focus on the individuals that use their product. Being that Pharrell is a producer/musician, There’s more of a chance he uses Apple more so then PC, but the commercial is still informative. Catch it after the break for an in-depth look at the concept behind “N.E.R.D.” - Nobody. Ever. Really. Dies.

50 Cent - ‘Get Up’

‘Get Up’ is the alleged first single off of 50’s upcoming “Before I Self Destruct” LP, which actually is what last year’s “Curtis” was initially titled, before Cam’s dirty work. If I had to summarize this song, I’d call it 2004, because it sounds like 50 traveled back an entire 4 years for hopes of another track as big as “In Da Club” was at the time. That beat is knocking, but 50’s choice of wordplay is as unoriginal as it gets.
