This intuitive, next gen, retro, time-piece concept, is the work of designer Pavel Balykin, who believes its prime for a throwback. Entitled the “Sand+Time Watch” it has the unique feature of a digital hour glass screen saver mode. It’s a “screen saver” mode, because the sand droplets don’t actually count the time for you, you have to press a button for that. Although, there’s one interesting thing that Yanko mentions, and thats if you added a motion sensor to the watch, then the screen saver would really come in handy. A few more examples after the jump.
